Mr. Robert Buchanan "R.B." Arp, Jr., 65, 1989 Yarbrough Road, Aragon, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006. Mr. Arp was born Dec. 5, 1940 in Polk County, GA, son of the late Stella Gribble Arp and the late Robert Buchanan Arp, Sr. He worked as a local farmer and was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by brother, Ed Arp Dec. 10, 2004. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Lisa Ann Arp of Elgin, SC and Mrs. LaDonna Lemming of Silver Creek, GA; one son, Robert Trey Arp of Loganville, GA; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Casper Nickles of Rome, Ivanell and James Nettles, and Helen and Charlie Flippin all of Rockmart; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Horace and Frances Arp, and Ovaline Arp all of Aragon; 3 grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17h in the Sanctuary of the Live Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Stevie Waddell and Rev. Hoyt Lewis officiating. Interment followed in the family lot of Live Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers included Alvin Kent, Eddie Etheridge, Chad Dabbs, Robbin Arp, Revis Arp, Lee Nickles, Lamar Spinks, Wayne Hardy and Lou Racine. Roy Samson served as honorary pallbearer. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral service.
