Miss Olive B. Dehority worked as a Stenographer from 1891-1892 for Roswell, Bills & Company. They were located at 505 N. Jefferson avenue, Peoria, IL. at that point in time.

Funeral services for Mrs. Olive B. Crombie, 88, mother of Robert J. Crombie, city editor of the Peoria Star(Now the Peoria Journal Star) and a resident of Peoria for almost sixty years, will be conducted at 10:30 a. m. Monday at Covey & Wright mortuary. The Rev. Robert H. Bodine of First Methodist church will officiate. Interment will be at Fondulac cemetery, Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. today.
Mrs. Crombie, who formerly resided at the home of her son, 2406 Main street (Now 1505 Main st.), died Saturday morning at Shady Elms convalescent home in Chillicothe.
A daughter of Avery and Matilda, Jane Cross Dehority, she was born in Fondulac township, Tazewell county, July 23, 1863. She married John Crombie in 1895. He died in 1920. For many years Mrs. Crombie taught school in Tazewell county, later becoming one of the first women clerical workers here when she became affiliated with Roswell Bills & Co., insurance.
Mrs. Crombie was a member of the Outlook and Miscellaneous Study clubs. She attended First Methodist church and for more than half a century was a member of the Benton Whatsoever class of the church.
Surviving is her son(My Great-Grandfather), two grandchildren(My grandfather and great aunt) and a great-grandson(My Father).
