"Mrs. M. L. Loosley Dies At Valley Ford.

Mrs. Marion L. Loosley, one of the prominent women of Valley Ford and wife of M[arion] F[rancis] Loosley, owner of the Valley Ford Mercantile Company and president of the Rural Merchants' Association, died Sunday morning at 6:45 o'clock after a protracted illness, at her home.

Sincere regret was expressed in this city among friends and in the coast region where she was held in high honor. Mrs. Loosley moved to Valley Ford when her husband purchased the former Gambini store and had taken an active interest in the social activities of the little town.

Surviving with her husband are the children: Harold Loosley. Beckwith, Cal.; Edward Loosley, Portola; Frank Loosley, Klamath Falls, Oregon; Harry R. Loosley, Louis H. Loosley, of Valley Ford; Mrs. Dina Shimar, Olean, Oregon, and Mrs. Bonice McDowell, Petaluma. Mrs. McDowell was summoned to the family home last week on account of the illness of her mother.

A native of Humboldt county, she was born in 1870 and was married to Mr. Loosley in Oregon in 1889.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the O'Leary parlors, Sebastopol. The interment was held in Sebastopol cemetery."
