Helen is survived by her four loving children, four grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Joseph Bozant and her mother, Olga Catherine Wegener Keim.
Helen attended St. Paul Lutheran School growing up on Port Street in the shadow of the parsonage where her grandfather, Rev. G. J. Wegener and his family lived. The Wegeners were caretakers of mom's family as they struggled in their early years. She graduated from Nichols High School where she met John, fell in love, and married him forever.
Helen and John shared their love of nature by taking their four children on memorable vacations, camping and hiking in the mountains. Helen loved to play her favorite hymns on the family piano while everyone listened. She was clever with computers and created personal photo calendars and a card collection of her delicious recipes. She always carried her iPad wherever she went. She loved posting photos of her favorite birds and enjoyed FaceTime visits with her children and grandchildren.
Helen was a devoted member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mandeville, Louisiana. She always felt grateful for the assistance her family received when she was a child and gave twenty years of volunteer service to the Covington food bank and thrift store. Helen was a generous and giving mother who loved her children. She will be missed in ways that words fail.
