Daisy Jane was the spunkiest and cutest cat in the world. She and 3 of her litter mates were abandoned by their momma when they were 5 days old. Daisy was the runt of the litter, but that never held her enthusiastic nature back! I bottle fed this sweetheart for 3 days until I found another momma cat to adopt these babies. Daisy was always a bundle of energy. She also had a sweet side and was so loving. She was very fond of cuddles, though she could be easily distracted! One of the sweetest things she did was to "adopt" her baby half-brother when he was abandoned by his momma (who was Daisy's momma too). She fiercely protected him from our houseful of cats until he was big enough to rough house with them all.

Daisy Jane was stricken with cancer earlier this year. The day before she passed, she developed breathing problems. This left me with no choice but to have her euthanized. I was allowed to hold her while the procedure was done and she went so peacefully and quickly. Such a brave kitty girl! I'm broken hearted, but relieved that she isn't suffering anymore.

I'd like to think her brother, Gussie Magoo, and her grand-niece, Ginger, were there at the bridge waiting for her. I bet they are playing in a warm, green garden. I can picture them watching birds and chasing after butterflies.

I'll miss you for the rest of my life, my sweet Daisy Jane.
