Blanche Young, passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, NB. Blanche in her 101st year, beloved wife of the late Hazen Young, daughter of the late Ethel and George Stewart. Sister of the late Olive Hodges (Stewart). Member of Central Baptist Church (now Cornerstone Baptist) for over 60 years. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and many cousins, especially Frances and Michael. Her friends will miss her warm smile, uncomplaining ways and her great sense of humour. The family wishes to thank the staff at Rocmaura Nursing Home for their great loving care. A special thank you to her friends, Linda Garnet and Linda's family and to Mr. Allen Creamer for their love and support. Thanks also to the pastor and members of Cornerstone Baptist Church for their many visits and prayers.
Friends may call on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place in the chapel at Brenan's on Tuesday, December 7, at 2 pm. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church or The Salvation Army.
