Philip Franklin Long, 48, of Candler, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at Hospice Solace Center.
Mr. Long was born in Watauga County and was a son of Gretchen Cole Long of Candler and the Rev. S. Dwight Long who died January 28, 2003. He was a graduate of Newberry, SC, High School and was employed as a butcher with Bi-Lo for 25 years and more recently with Food Lion for six years.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
