Born Oct. 10, 1947, in Lawrence, to Earl Raymond and Viola Josephine Elliott Crumet, she graduated from Kansas University with a master's degree in mathematics.
She later moved to Garden City to become a professor of mathematics at Garden City Community College for 30 years.
She was an active member of KAMATYC (Kansas Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges), an avid painter and quilter and enjoyed hand stitching.
Survivors include her stepmother, Joyce Crumet of Wichita; a stepsister, Nancy Wilson of Kingman; and numerous step nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial service was at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita. Burial was at Oakhill Cemetery in Lawrence.
