Twyla was born on March 12, 1970, in Milton, FL. She was a 1988 graduate of Jay High School, where she was
a member of Student Government and was voted Class Favorite and Miss Jay High by the student body. She
graduated from Florida A&M University's College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1996. Upon
graduation, Twyla began her career as a Pharmacist at K-Mart Pharmacy and became a member of the Florida
Pharmacy Association. She continued her career at Jay Pharmacy, The Medicine Shoppe, and most recently at
Dura-Med Pharmacy, where she made lifelong friendships and connections with her patients and co-workers.
Twyla was a member of Jay United Methodist Church.
Twyla loved her family and her friends unconditionally. Twyla is survived by her husband, Dr. Jeff Kelley, and
their three sons, Taylor, Reid, and Landon. She is also survived by special parents, Dr. David Smith and Kathy
Smith; her father-in-law and mother-in-law (Tink Kelley and Annie-Ruth Kelley); siblings, Judy Randolph, Trent
Taylor (Patty), Trey Taylor; special nephews, Joseph Randolph, Jack Randolph (Janna); special cousins Dr.
Michael Smith (Rebecka, Alaina/Tanner, Judd, Preston, and Kenley), Brooke Steele (Rusty, Brynn, Ansley, and
Leighton), Garrett Smith, and great nephew Jaxson Randolph. She is also survived by brother-in-law Terry Kelley
(Angel), nephew Aaron Kelley (Maegon, Ryan, Melanie, Coleson, and Cameron), and Morgan Frady (Nolan,
Madison, and Natalie).
Twyla is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Hubert Dawson Smith, Leila Smith, paternal
grandparents, Julius Taylor and Ouida Jones Taylor; parents, Lillie Faye Taylor and Billy Jones Taylor; brother
Michael Gene Mills.
In 1991, Twyla married her high school sweetheart, Jeff Kelley. They went on to have 3 boys, Taylor, Reid, and
Landon. When Twyla had Taylor, she dedicated her life to being a loving and wonderful mother. Twyla excelled at
propping up her sons and supporting them through the many passions of their lives.
Twyla was a special person who brought enthusiasm and energy to all those who came in contact with her. Her
love for her children and husband was unmatched. She excelled at motherhood and was the foundation of her
family. She was a natural caretaker and loved helping others. She was an excellent gift giver, always knew how
to make people feel special, never missed an opportunity to hug, and always took care of those around her.
Twyla will be deeply missed and was loved by all those who treasured her.
While Twyla's family grieves her loss, they choose to remember Twyla in a way that honors her spirit. Her
children and her husband, Jeff, invite the community to join them in a Celebration of Life Ceremony at
Cornerstone Christian Church on Thursday, December 22nd at 2:00 PM. Family visitation will be 11:00-12:00
PM, and public visitation will be 12:00-2:00 PM on Thursday, December 22nd. Burial will follow at Cora Baptist Church cemetery.
