On Sunday, December 25, 2022, Eva A. (Miller) Beck, 87, of Seven Valleys, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Emory E. "Jack" Beck, Jr., with whom she shared 64 years of marriage before his passing in 2016. She was born on June 17, 1935 in Glen Rock to the late C. Harry and Gertrude (Williams) Miller. Eva worked for many years at McCrory's Stores operating the printing press until she retired. Around that same time, she also volunteered for over 25 years at Contact York, where she would answer calls and assist those in crisis. After retiring, she worked along side her husband on the family farm. She was an active member of St. Peter's Church in Seven Valleys, where she performed many duties, including teaching Sunday School. In her spare time, she enjoyed having card playing parties, traveling, and relaxing at their cabin in Clinton County.
She is survived by her four children, Susan K. Shank, Cynthia E. Leiphart, Sandra A. Yoder and Thomas E. Beck and his wife Heidi; three siblings, Anna Miller, Treva Stiles (her twin sister), and Ray Miller; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and five siblings.
Public visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Church, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys, PA 17360. Eva's son, Pastor Thomas E. Beck, will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to St. Peter's Church Building Fund, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys, PA 17360. **For those unable to attend in person, the church will be Live Streaming the service on the St. Peter's Seven Valleys YouTube Channel.
