Mrs. Jone, widow of the late E. E. Jone, former retired Birmingham police officer, was a native of Blount. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. James C. Armstrong. She was a member of the, Baptist Church, and had been affiliated with the Order of the Eastern Star for 25 years.
Survivors include a brother, Ernest L. Armstrong, Remlap and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held from the Remlap Methodist Church, Rev. R. F. Mason conducting. Eastern Star rites were held at the grave. Chambers, Brown-Service was in charge of burial at Valhalla Cemetery, Birminham.
Pallbearers were Leon, Lowell, Robert and J. W. Armstrong, Willie Peoples and Lonnie Norris.
