Bethana Sharp, age 84, formerly of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 5, at the Heath, Nursing and Convalescent center in Newark after a long illness. A native of Scott county, Tenn., she was a Lewisburg resident for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist church in New Lebanon.
Survivors include three sons, Vola of Newark, Venus of Udall, Mo. and Hezekiah of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Mildred McCurry of Lewisburg and Elvada Foust of Briceville, Tenn.; one brother, Wiley Hatfield of Miami, Fla.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Barnes funeral home, Lewisburg chapel, with Rev. Ronald Bolin officiating. Interment was in Sugar Grove cemetery, New Lexington.
