Born on July 12, 1922 in Albemarle County, near Mechums River, she was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Lucy M. Sandridge. Also preceding her in death were her sister, Eleanor S. Hoover; her brother, Adam Sandridge; and her ex-husband, Arthur N. Haigh.
Marie was a longtime member of the Crozet Baptist Church, where she served on the Baptism Committee and always volunteered in the Nursery.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Frazier and her husband, Jeffrey, of Crozet; a son, Michael Haigh and his wife, Shelby, of Crozet; and many beloved family members and friends.
The family expresses special thanks to Mrs. Henry, Ronnie and Missy.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Rockgate Cemetery in Crozet, with the Reverend David Collier officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Crozet Baptist Church.
