Mrs. Peggy Louise Beckett - Clifford (nee Caniff), aged 84 of Cedar Springs passed away surrounded by her family Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She was born on June 27, 1938 to Arby and Beulah Caniff. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James H. Beckett; sisters, Ada Dams, Karen Sigman; brother, Ronald Caniff. Peggy is survived by her husband, George Clifford; daughters, Vicki Skutt, Debbie (Kevin) Baxter, Kelly (Craig) Jenison; sons, James (Catherine) Beckett, John (Cathy) Beckett; stepchildren, Peter Clifford, Lori (Justin) Johnson; sister, Sally (Denny) Grzeskowiak; sister-in-law Helen Caniff; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; Peggy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a devoted Christian woman and prayer warrior. Peggy will be lovingly missed by her family, friends Erika, Judy, Myna, and her "Herman Miller lunch bunch". She was a member of Faith United Church of God where she played the piano and sang, she also played and sang for many weddings over the years. Peggy's smile lit up a room and she was dearly loved by all who met her. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Faith United Church of God, 3290 Walker Ave. NW., Grand Rapids. Her family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday from 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM at the Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe St., in Rockford and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Church. Private family interment at Blythefield Memory Gardens. Our family would like to thank Interim Hospice and Vista Springs Riverside for their outstanding care of our wonderful wife and mother.
