He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Broussard, and his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Houston H. "Mike" Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by his parents, Linda Broussard Davis and Paul Davis; brothers Frank Broussard III, Paul Davis, Jr. and Glenn R. Davis; one special uncle, Frank Broussard, Jr., 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
When you think of Mike Davis, you think of a warm and loving person with a ready smile and a big heart. Family was very important to Mike. He was always there to lend a hand whenever anyone was in need, no matter the time. Mike also cared very much for his friends. With his outgoing personality and wonderful spirit, he never met a stranger and made everyone his friend. He valued his friendships, and once you became his friend, you were friends for life.
Mike had a way with children. They were drawn to his funny faces and strange voices, and he always got smiles and giggles from any child he was around. He enjoyed carpentry work and working on projects with his family. He also took pleasure in going to the movies, spending time with family and friends, and serving as a Steward of Magnolia Lodge #120 F & AM.
Michael is gone but not forgotten by all family and friends who knew and loved him. He will be sadly missed by his parents, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 13, 6-9 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m., Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue. Services will be Saturday, February 14 at 10 a.m., Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where friends may call 1 hour before service time. Burial at D'Iberville Memorial Park with Masonic Graveside services.
