Lucille Wagner of Warsaw, Indiana went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the age of 94.


She was born on May 17, 1928 in Beckley, West Virginia to Elsie (Farley) Clark and Luther Clark.


Lucille was married on July 15, 1951 to Herbert William Wagner.


They were blessed with two daughters, and were overjoyed each time they became grandparents and great-grandparents.


Herbert passed away on January 24, 2006 after sharing 54 years of life, love and marriage together.


Lucille earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Concord College in West Virginia. For 27 years she taught thousands of students as an elementary school teacher for Lorain City Schools in Lorain, Ohio. From 1955-2021 she lived in Lorain, Ohio where she was a longtime member of the Church of the Open Door in Elyria, Ohio. She moved to Warsaw, Indiana in 2021 to live with her daughter and enjoyed attending Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church. She will be lovingly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her JOY was her family, whom she dearly loved and of course her Jesus. Lucille loved serving her Lord all of her life and is now enjoying her eternal home in Heaven!


She leaves behind two daughters, Carol (Jim) Wright (Elyria, OH); Faye (Jim) Hocking (Warsaw, IN); two granddaughters, Robin (Greg) Menz (Avon, OH); Jennifer (Jacob) Smith (Goldendale, WA); four grandsons, Joel (Lily) Hocking (Warsaw, IN); John (Maribeth) Hocking (Warsaw, IN); Jay (Debbie) Hocking (Portland, OR); Brian (Chrissy) Sinegar (Columbia City, IN); and fourteen great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and four sisters.
