Jean was the second child of Thomas Merrill Johnson and Hattie Ellen Duggan.

Jean married her first husband, John Joseph Mullennax, in Kalispell, Flathead, Montaha on 1 September 1904. They had two daughters, Nellie Louise and Florence Ellen.

Jean's second husband was Robey Harrison Tolliver, whom she married 30 November 1915 in Walla Walla. They also had two daughters, Laura May and Lois Marie.

Jean lived the rest of her life in Walla Walla.

1951 Tolliver - January 4, at a local hospital, Mrs. Jean P. Tolliver of 242 West Cherry aged 64 years; mother of Mrs. E. M. (Nellie) Jones of Lowden, Mrs. Dewey (Frances) Swartz, Mrs. Roy (Lura) Hulse, and Mrs. George (Lois) Aloverti, all of Walla Walla; sister of Mrs. W. H. Keen, Walla Walla, Mrs. Dick Ayers, Pendleton; Napoleon Johnson and Floyd Golden, Tacoma, and Fred Golden, Sweetwater, Tex. Seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Born Jan 21 1886 in Nebraska. Member of the Assembly of God Church. Remains at the DeWitt funeral home. Funeral notice later. (Paid Notice)
