Dorothy D. (Reinink) Cecil, 85, of Fillmore passed away March 6, 2005, at Fillmore Convalescent Hospital with her family at her bedside.

Dorothy was born April 17, 1919. in Grant, Mich. She had been a resident of Fillmore at the El Dorado Mobile Home Park for the past 30 years, coming from the San Fernando Valley. For many years she participated in many of the functions of the park, along with being assistant manager with her husband in the mid-1970s. She enjoyed playing bunco and pinochle at the clubhouse every week for many years. She enjoyed traveling, especially going to Michigan to see her family and her longtime friends and schoolmates. She attended her 60-year class reunion in Michigan in 1997. Mention Laughlin or Vegas and she was always ready for that trip also.

She had worked for Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Panorama City in the linen department. Before coming to California, in Michigan she was district manager for Radell Hair Products and was hostess for many home parties.

Dorothy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Dorothy will be missed by her children, Shirley Graves (husband Roy) of Ojai, Beverly Yocum (husband Dan) of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Larry Reinink (wife Sandra) of North Hollywood, and Sandra McAlister of Oregon; brothers Gerald (wife Ellen) of Bailey, Mich., and John (wife May Reta) of Grant, Mich.; sister-in-law, Helen Tibbe of Cedar Springs, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one-great-great-granddaughter; along with many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerrit and Jennie Tibbe, and brothers Adrian and Gordon, all of Michigan; husbands, Laurence Reinink and Carl Cecil; grandchildren Richard R. Lester Jr. and Tina Lester; and great-grandson, Ryon Mitchell Glaser.

A chapel service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at Oakwood Memorial Park Chapel, with Pastor Mark Rathe of Faith Community Church of Fillmore officiating. Burial will follow in the park at 22601 Lassen St., Chatsworth.

Memorial donations may be made in Dorothy's name to the American Heart Association.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fillmore Convalescent Hospital for their loving care of Dorothy over the past two years. Assisting the family with funeral arrangements is Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, Fillmore, and Oakwood Memorial Park, Chatsworth.
