Beulah Ellen Allison Ball, 89, died Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Solace Center in Asheville following a brief illness.

Born August 15, 1933 in Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Richard Edgar and Sarah Ellen Allison.
She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and also attended Mud Creek church in Hendersonville.She helped with her husband's construction business until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching and was proud of her Allison family heritage with strong roots in Transylvania County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lafoy Ball Sr., two daughters, Diane Morgan and Sharon Allison, three sons-in-law, David Morgan, David Allison, and Steve Dalton, and one grandson, D.J. Morgan. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, James, Ralph and Robert Allison, five sisters, Margaret Rollins, Virginia Garren, Lucille Watkins, Esther Sentelle and Lois Cantrell and by her beloved uncle, Walter Allison, who she cared for until his death in 1980.

Survivors include five daughters, Mary Harwood-Dalton, Debbie Summey (Jeff Summey), Lynn Pope (Ben Pope), Julie Ball (Alan Marler) and Pam McCarson (Mack McCarson), one son, Lafoy Ball Jr., 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Charles Allison and wife Judy of Wilmington, and David Cox and wife Carol of Tupelo, Miss., one sister, Nancy Moore of Hendersonville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2pm, Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Boylston Church Cemetery.
