Richard A. Brown, 96, of Lewis, Indiana passed away at Gibson Family Center of Hospice Care, on January 10, 2023 following a short illness.
Richard was born on December 4, 1926, in Center Point, Indiana, the son of Hovey and Ruth (Dressler) Brown. He graduated from Bowling Green High School with the class of 1945. Richard worked as a farmer and a truck driver. He retired at the age of 85.
He was a life-long member of the Oregon Baptist Church. There he served as deacon as well as several other capacities over his lifetime.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hovey and Ruth Brown; wife Martha J. (Miller) Brown; his brothers James Brown, Ted Brown, and Elsworth Brown; twin sisters in infancy Angela Brown and Angeline Brown.
Burial at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green, Indiana.
