Betty J. Beardsley, 83, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. She was the wife of Tom Beardsley.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: three daughters, Beverley O'Connor (Michael), of Hampton Bays, NY, Linda Devlin, of North Potomac, MD, and Kathy Beardsley, of LaGrange, KY; two brothers, Roy Stueve and Gary Stueve; and five grandchildren, Brian O'Connor, David O'Connor, Rachael Devlin, Alex Devlin, and Sarah Beardsley.

Betty was born on July 23, 1939 in Festus, Missouri, and was the daughter of Edgar and Laura Stueve, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a founding member and longtime organist for St. Thomas Lutheran Church. She was retired from the Fayette County School System, where she taught business classes at Bryan Station High School for 10 years and was the supervisor and coordinator for all business, home economics, and vocational courses at Fayette County Central Office for 18 years.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church IN Richmond, Kentucky with Pastor Mary Metzger officiating.
