He was born September 17, 1949 in Versailles to Orville and Eva (Darnell) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Randy and Edward Davis.
Surviving are two sons, Archie Davis, Jr. of Jacksonville and Kevin Davis of Raymond and his good friend, Robert Turner.
Archie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
He had worked for Panning for Gold for 20 years, retiring in 2017 and he also enjoyed traveling.
Cremation has been accorded. Inurnment will be at Westside Cemetery in Versailles at a later date.
