Trent, Texas - Louis Acuna, 85, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 in a local hospital.
A funeral mass will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23rd at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Merkel with Reverend Terry Brenon officiating. Burial will be in the Trent Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Louis was born May 11, 1922 in Sweetwater to Sesario Acuna and Mary Ann Hernandez Acuna. He was a member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Louis worked for Texas and Pacific Railroad for 30 years and was a farmer and rancher. He enjoyed family get-togethers.
Survivors include his sister, Ruby Acuna of Trent; his brother, Jessie Acuna and wife Mary of Brownwood; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
