Eileen M. Benton, 86, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2008. Eileen was born September 2, 1921 to Francis and Eileen Dollard McKernan in Dearborn, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman G. Benton; and son, Glenn G. Benton. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Sharon Papp and husband, Charles, of Wasilla, AK; grandchildren, Roger W. Papp and wife, Carrie, of Houston, TX, Kenneth Papp and wife, Lisa, of Elliotsburg, PA, Katherine Papp and her partner, Timothy Rhodes, of Rio Rancho, NM, and Christina Benton of NC; and six great-grandchildren, Stephany, Chase, Kaycee, Devin, Darian, and Mick. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 5635 Jefferson St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
