Clarence Ramey Wilcox Obituary

Clarence Wilcox, whose home was between Martinstown and Worthington, died of a heart attack about ten o’clock Sunday night. He is reported to have suffered the attack, and it was some time before help could be summoned, among whom was Sheriff Stillman Beary. However, help was obtained, and he was taken to a Kirksville hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The deceased was 57 years old.

He leaves a wife, Effie, and four children. The children are: Mrs. Nellie McFarland, Rockford, IL; Charles of the home; Floyd of Worthington; and Ralph of Livonia. He is also survived by two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Josie
Mendenhall, Worthington; Mrs. Zeffie McClurg, Bloomfield, IA; and Leonard of Ottumwa, IA.

The funeral will be conducted at the Martinstown Baptist Church, this Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock by Lyle Childs, pastor of the Unionville Christian Church. Burial will be in the Lone Pine Cemetery with the Husted Funeral Home in charge of the body.
