She was born March 20, 1938 in Guthrie, MO, the daughter of the late William Jacob and Edna Mae (Paul) Wolfmeier. In June 1960, she married Russell Salmons who preceded her in death in 1998. In Oct. 2004, she married Billy Ray Benskin who survives at their home.
She is also survived by two sons, Kevin Z. Salmons and his wife Monica of Columbia, MO and Bryan H. Salmons and his wife Melissa of Jefferson City; one daughter, Sheila Bastian and her husband Robert of Hatton; one sister, Frances Samer of Sedalia; and eight grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, seven brothers and two sisters.
Vivian was a singer with the Easy Rhythm Band, a member of the Dixie Dames Red Hat Society and member of the Jolly Rodgers Camping Club. She was an active member of the Callaway Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Callaway Christian Church with Rev. Mark Kummer officiating. Burial will follow in Auxvasse City Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
