Siblings were Maude, Jane, Lilian, John Frederick , Arthur, and two other sisters. Annie was known as "Nancy".
Annie married Ernest White of Epsom, England and lived there for two years until the death of her husband in a train accident. The couple had a daughter, Mabel.
In 1920, Annie came to Canada with her young daughter and married Daniel Jay in St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Wellington, Ontario. They had known each other in England. Annie was Daniel's second wife. His first wife was Amanda Chatfield. Daniel and Amanda were divorced about 1919 in England. She remained in England with their youngest daughter, Muriel and married second a Mr. Treleaven with whom she had three more children. The older children of Daniel and Amanda (Frederick, William, and Dulcie) emigrated to Canada with their father.
Daniel and Annie lived in Bloomfield for five years and in 1925 purchased the Stirling Hudgin home and land on Cherry Valley Road (Picton, Ontario).
Dan Jay was a market gardener and had lovely gardens of vegetables and flowers. He died in 1956.
Annie (Nancy) lived in Picton until 1960 when she moved in with her daughter Mabel and resided there until her death August 18, 1962. She was a good neighbor and friend, sharing the beautiful flowers they grew.
