Married on the 16th inst. (16 Jan 1855)by Rev. James Crousse, James ROWAN, of the firm Rowan and McCloskey of Mineral Point to Miss Mary O'Doud, daughter of Patrick O'Doud, Esq. of O'Doud's Grove.
Well, we always thought friend Rowan would do a profitable business in Mineral Point. And wether this last "Good Bargain" is the result of advertising or not, we are not able to say, but no man who avails himself of the power of the press as Mr. R. has done, can fail to succeed. Compliments of the printers to both bride and groom, for the present accompanying the note of their union. May their enjoyments never be less delicious than was the sparkling accompaniment.
