ROCKDALE — Graveside services for Billie Ray Wells, 71, of Rockdale are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ivy Cemetery in Kennard. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mr. Wells died Saturday at Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale. He was born in the Possum Walk community of Trinity County and lived in Rockdale a year and a half. He was formerly of Huntington, but lived most of his adult life in California. He worked for more than 20 years as a mechanic on tractors and equipment in vineyards in California.
Survivors include three brothers, Howard Wells of Stockton, Calif., A.D. Wells and Jack Wells, both of Fresno, Calif.; three sisters, Betty Yount of Rockdale, Lois Krause of Stockton, and Geneva Mell of Fresno; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives
