Son of Harland E. George,Sr. & Alice Leota (Brooks) George Pearson.

Harland began serving his country in the U.S. Army in September of 1948 at Governor's Island, NY. He was in the military police and also served as an office clerk. He was discharged in 1949 and later was drafted - serving in Korea with the Second to None, 2nd Battalion, 23rd Infantry Division (Indian Head) - surviving the Bloody Ridge Hill Campaign. He was discharged in November of 1951.

Harland's first marriage was to Betty Ann Anderson on Feb. 7, 1949 at Central City, Merrick County, NE. They had 2 daughters from their marriage - Cathy & Donna.

Harland and Betty divorced and Harland remarried the second time to Leah Mae Ewing on Jan. 14, 1956 at Grand Island, Hall County, NE. They had 4 daughters - Sarah (adopted by Harland), Sandra, Lonnie (now deceased) & Melody.

Harland lived in the Seattle, WA area for many years while he worked at Sea-Tac. Upon his retirement he moved back to Nebraska to be closer to his family.

Harland and Leah were living in Arcadia, NE at the time of his death.

Harland, Leah and Cathy spent many years and hours researching the "George Family" and their ancestors. They compiled a two volume book entitled "The George's in America". I continue to add to that information.

With Love to A Very Special Dad........
If I could have one lifetime wish,
A dream that would come true,
I'd pray to God with all my heart,
For yesterday & YOU.

In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place,
that No one else can fill.

You left behind my broken heart,
and happy memories too...
But I never wanted memories DAD,
I only wanted YOU.

RIP Dad - You are Forever in our Hearts.
