Beatrice F. "Bea" Bowers, 85, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at City Hospital. Born July 16, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Georgia McDonald Keller. She attended the Philadelphia School of Nursing. She last was employed as restaurant manager for the Holiday Inn. She was a member of the Martinsburg Baptist Temple, now Cornerstone Bible Church. She was a member of Golden Rule Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 69, American Legion Post 14 Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 896 Auxiliary, Elks Lodge 778 Auxiliary and Moose Lodge 738. She is survived by her husband, Charles N. Bowers Jr., whom she married Feb. 11, 1948; one brother, George E. Keller of Martinsburg; two nieces; two nephews; grandnieces; grandnephews; and six cousins. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Keller; and one nephew. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. John Frattarola will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
