Singer, Songwriter and Musician. He first became active in music while attending high school where he formed the Justin Conlon Orchestra. He went on to attend the Columbia Academy in Dubuque, Iowa where he played the accordion and toured Iowa with his orchestra playing to various radio audiences. In 1947 he formed the musical group "The Rhythmaires" which launched an association with Bing Crosby that same year. That association spanned almost a decade and produced over 200 broadcasts and 40 recordings. Mr. Conlon worked with entertainers such as Andy Williams, Guy Lombardo and Stan Freberg. In the early 1950's he served as musical director for Walt Disney, with the films Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Babes in Toyland among his credits. Also being well known for writing and singing songs for commercials he was quoted in 1951 saying "It's the jingles with the bite that keep the cash register jingling". He died at the age of 56 after suffering a heart attack while attending the convention of American Federation of TV and Radio Artists in Chicago, Illinois.
