WILLIE A. TURNER
PORTSMOUTH - Willie Adkinson Turner, 65, of Rt. 1, Hodges Ferry, died at 8:20 a. m. in a hospital after an illness of a week. A native of Nansemond County, he was the husband of the late Fannie Mae Skinner Turner and a son of John William and Mrs. Mary Frances Skinner Turner. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle T. Brett of Portsmouth, with whom he lived; a son, James Thomas Turner of Gorton, Conn.; two brothers, Genie Turner of Suffolk and Jerry Floyd Turner of Hertford, N.C.; and two grandsons. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the I. 0. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph T. Williams of Jolliff Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
