Beloved husband of 47 years to the absolute love of his life, Judy (Pischke), proud father of Jerry and James, and grandfather to the wonderful joys of his world Miranda and Morgan.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Roman and Margaret, brothers James, Terry, Bob, and Chuck, and his sister Doris.
He is survived by his siblings Marilyn (Dolly), Alan, Gene, and Mariette, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jerry proudly served in the U.S Army and Army Reserve as a Military Police soldier, and in the Air National Guard where he happily finished his 23 year career at the 128th Air Refueling Wing as a part of the Visual Information Services.
Jerry enjoyed 40 years as a Broadcasting Engineer at Milwaukee Television stations Channels 4,10,18,24, and 36. Jerry had a passion for music, masterfully playing several horn instruments in his youth and sharing those talents later in life with his choir and Parish family at Sacred Heart, in addition to his well recognizable deep singing voice. He had a love of the sky and cherished piloting his two planes. His favorite place in the world was behind his camera or video camera sitting in the cockpit jump-seat or boom-pod of the KC-135 Stratotanker as it refueled Air Force aircraft. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Linden Court Memory Care Unit, as well as the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Alzheimers Association.
All services will be held at Sacred Heart Parish (917 N. 49th Street) in Milwaukee on Monday, January 28, 2019. Visitation from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Funeral Mass will begin at 5:00 PM with Military honors following the Mass. Dinner gathering and celebration to remember Jerry will begin at 6:00 PM, and all are welcome.
