Ronald L. Blasser, 82, passed away on January 21, 2023 in Carlisle.


He was born September 07, 1940 in York, the son of Harry W. and Effie B. (Horn) Blasser.


Ronald served our Country honorably in the U.S. Army where he was part of the Military Police and received the Good Conduct Service award for his faithful service to our Country.


He worked for twenty-four years as a Store Manager for Bon Ton stores and fourteen years for Walmart before his retirement.


During his youth, Ronald enjoyed being a Camp Counselor and sharing his knowledge about boating, fishing, and the local Native American history.


His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family.


Ronald loved listening to a wide variety of music and was always one of the first to get up and dance at a party.


He loved cooking and never shied away from trying a new recipe.


Ronald enjoyed sitting out on the front porch, enjoying the fresh air, and watching thunderstorms.


He loved watching his daughters in the various activities they participated in when they were younger.


Ronald enjoyed watching all genres of movies - most recently - his favorites were Hallmark movies.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Nevin Blasser, Harry Blasser, and Eugene Blasser.


Ronald is survived by his wife: Mary Blasser of Carlisle; his daughters: Nicole (Bryan) Stouffer of Carlisle and Jolene Blasser of Carlisle; his four grandsons: Evan Stouffer, Brighton Stouffer, Ethan Stouffer, and Liam Stouffer; and, his sister: Virginia (Donald) Wonders of York.
