Robert J. Rosinsky 1933-2022

Manitowoc - Robert J. Rosinsky, 88, of Manitowoc died on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, after an unexpected fall and short stay at Banner Desert Medical Center in Meza, AZ.

Bob was born on June 22, 1933, in Manitowoc to the late Palmer and Esther (Schwoerer) Rosinsky. He attended Manitowoc schools until he moved to Sturgeon Bay in 1952. Bob was a 1954 graduate of Brussels High School. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1956-1958. In 1960 he married the former Karen DeNamur at St. Francis Xavier in Brussels, they then took up residence in Manitowoc. Bob worked at Mirro Aluminum from 1960-1967 and was employed with Manitowoc Equipment Works until his retirement in 1993.

Bob was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and was also a member of the Manitowoc Pigeon Racing Club for 29 years. Bob was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed playing baseball with the Manitowoc County League as well as the "Stars of Tomorrow" in Manitowoc, he also played several years in the Door County League. In 2014 he was proud to be inducted into the Door County Baseball Hall of Fame. Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dad and brothers, watching his grandchildren play baseball and softball, gambling, traveling and playing golf. He was fortunate to have a hole in one in Meza, AZ, where he and his wife spent their winters. His most favorite hobby was raising and racing pigeons, it was a lifetime love. When he wasn't participating in active sports, he was found watching the Brewer and Packer games, golfing, watching old Western Movies, and going out to eat.

Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years: Karen; one daughter and son-in-law: Staci (Rick) Lippold of Oshkosh; one son and daughter-in-law: Brett (Debra) Rosinsky of AZ; two very special grandchildren: Tanner and Taylor Haessly; two step-grandchildren: Aric and Dylan Lippold; One brother: Wayne and Roxann Rosinsky of Sturgeon Bay and one sister-in-law: Sharon Rosinsky of Algoma; three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Pat Ullman of Green Bay, Claire and Myron Wery of Duvall, Vern and Rod Robillard of Brussels, Chris and Colleen DeNamur of Green Bay, Lindy and Sharon DeNamur of Manitowoc, Mary Ann DeNamur of Green Bay, Galen DeNamur and his special friend Sue Schmitt of Green Bay. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Palmer and Esther Rosinsky, In-laws: Clarence and Lillian DeNamur; one sister and three brothers: Marie and Clint Hunt, Paul and Marie Rosinsky, Vernon and Marleen Rosinsky and Tom Rosinsky; Brothers-in-law: Claude DeNamur and Robert Ullmann.

The family would like to thank the 4th floor staff at Banner Medical. We appreciate his 3 special nurses, his respiratory therapist and his physical therapists.

A service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. Rev. Jason Blahnik is celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Friends and relatives can call on Saturday at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Graveside Military Honors will be accorded by AmVets Post #99 at the cemetery.
