(1962 - 1982)

Richard A. (Chico) Kotarek, 20, of 1619 Reed Ave., Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon, June 14, at Milwaukee County General Hospital, Milwaukee, following an accident at his place of employment.

Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Schmitt and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Kotarek was born Feb. 27, 1962, at Manitowoc, son of Eugene P. and Irene Lodes Kotarek. He resided at Manitowoc all his life. He attended Manitowoc schools and received his G.E. diploma from Lakeshore Technical Institute in 1982. Mr. Kotarek was a painter by trade being employed at Milwaukee. He served as P.F.C. with United States Army Reserve 3077th Light Maintenance Company.

Survivors include his parents, Eugene P. and Irene Kotarek of Manitowoc; a brother, Randall at home; two sisters, Lynn and Kari at home; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hugo Lodes of Manitowoc; two uncles, Roger Kotarek of Mishicot, and Ronald Lodes of Racine; and a special friend, Miss Kim Ording of Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Peter and Esther Kotarek, and his maternal grandfather, Hugo Lodes.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Tuesday evening where a prayer service will be conducted at 8 o'clock by Father Leo Schmitt.
