Charles R. Yauch Sr., age 64, of 7713 Hidden Valley Road, Maribel, died on Thursday evening, Feb. 24, 2011, at his residence.

He was born on May 28, 1946, in Milwaukee, son of the late Herald and Lorraine (Konetzy) Yauch. Charles was a graduate of South Division High School in Milwaukee, class of 1967. He served in the United States Army as an instructor, retiring in 1988. On May 13, 1973, he married the former Brenda Bartlett in Zion, Ill. Charles was a member of the Eagles Aerie No. 706, the Seagulls Club and the Northwestern Sportsman Club.

Survivors include his wife: Brenda Yauch, Maribel; four sons and two daughters-in-law: Charles Jr. and Kathy Yauch, Two Rivers, Christopher Yauch and special friend, Roxanne Jacquart, Two Rivers, Cory and Bobbie Yauch, Manitowoc, Thomas Troyer, Hawaii; a daughter: Cathleen Yauch, Green Bay; twelve grandchildren: Zack, Devin, Dennis, Cheyenne, Misty, Christopher, Cory, Cody, Justine, Chandler, Charles III, Payton; three great-grandchildren: Ethan, Amiya and Sophia; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Martin and Diane Yauch, Manitowoc, Dennis Yauch, and special friend Iris Ledford, St. Paul, Minn.; and a special friend: Alice Wehe, Maribel. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by a brother: William Yauch.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Officiating at the Service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by AMVETS Post No. 99. The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Friends may also call Wednesday morning at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Peterson and Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice for their compassionate care and support given to Charles and his family.
