Alfredo Larry Candelaria, Sr., 76, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, in his home. He was born on August 11, 1946, in San Mateo, New Mexico, born to Emiteria "Miteria" (Mirabal) and Felix S Candelaria.

He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He was very proud of his service and for being a part of the Marines.

He was a truck driver for Rider/Allied for many years.

But the job he loved most was being a great-grandpa and grandpa to his grandkids. He absolutely loved all his babies! If you got a bite from him then you knew he loved you! He will be dearly missed by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Maria (Becerra); his parents, Emiteria "Miteria" (Mirabal) and Felix S Candelaria; brothers, Ernesto Candelaria and Orlando Candelaria; and sisters, Gloria Garcia and Estella Perea.

He is survived by his children, Leslie Parsons (husband, Larry), Alfredo Larry "Gene" Candelaria, Jr. (wife, Maria), and Michelle Edwards (husband, Richard); grandchildren: Brian (Kaitlin), Jasmine, Vincent, Lucas and Alicia; great-grandchildren: Emma, Nathaniel, Joshua, and Noah; his siblings: Betty Swatfager (husband Rodney), Peggy, Barbara Reyna (husband Alfonso), Dora Galvan (husband Manuel), Dennis Candelaria, and Felix Candelaria (wife Sarah).
