Jean Beverly Adams-Hall, 91, of East Galesburg, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis, Illinois.

She was born January 14, 1932, in Galesburg, the daughter of Merwin and Ruthe (Oblander) Runbeck. Jean graduated from Galesburg High School. She worked as a teletype operator for BNSF for 16 years. Jean married Jack C. Adams in Galesburg in 1957. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1985. She later married Ralph E. Hall at Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2016.

Left to cherish her memory is one daughter, Cheryl (Robert) Chambers of Moline, Illinois; six grandchildren: Troy (Angela) Kenney of New Port News, Virginia, Andrew and Aaron Adams, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jennifer (Patrick) Newton of Georgia, Janet (Etienne) Laine of Tampa, Florida, and Julie (Brian) Moore of South Carolina; eight great-grandchildren: Emma, Katelyn, Nicholas, Drake, Jade, Cody, Cheyenne, and Paige; and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Missy; and three special friends: Sharon, Pat, and Dean. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; both spouses, Jack Adams and Ralph Hall; two sons, Mar,k and Cory Adams; and a granddaughter, Kelly Jean Kenney.

Jean enjoyed card playing and bowling. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all, she loved cats but especially adored her cat, Missy. Jean will be deeply missed.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of OSF Home Health, Hospice Compassus, and Illini Restorative Care.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2023, at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.
