On February 2, 2023, the good Lord brought Mark LeRoy Smith home at the age of 61. He was blessed with a large and loving family and known for his sense of humor and words of wisdom. Mark enjoyed playing country music on his guitar, coaching Mason Junior Bulldog Football, and spending his free time around a campfire up north with family and friends. For 18 years, Mark served his loyal customers at Sawyers Chevrolet. Mark is survived by his beautiful wife Karen of 35 years; his children, Billie, Nick, and Katie; his siblings Penny Wise and Billy Faust; and his mother Judith Smith. He was preceded in death by his father Billie Gene Smith and sister Pam VanDeventer. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 7, with the family greeting friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Holt Chapel. A celebration of Mark's life will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mason Junior Bulldog Football program or the American Cancer Society in memory of Mark.
