James D. "Jim" Spragg, 85, of Hundred, WV died Friday, February 3, 2023 in WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV.

Jim was born May 29, 1937, a son of the late Denzil C. Spragg and Tersie O. Sapp Spragg Bucher.

He was retired from the Carnegie Natural Gas Company. He had also worked for a short time for the West Virginia Department of Highways and also for Randy Main.

Jim was a long-time member of the Sancho Church of Christ.

Surviving is one brother and his wife, Roger Spragg and his wife Shirley of Knob Fork; three friends who were like sons to him, Mark, Matt, and Chris Difiore; numerous nieces and nephews; two kids that Jim considered to be his grandchildren, Jolie and Austin Hayes; his dog Harley and his cat Tazz; and other friends that helped him in so many ways, Tempa Steele, Linda Fordyce, Jerry and Kelly Tedrow, Ed Koontz, and John and Melissa Hayes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Grace Spragg; a brother-in-law, William C. "Bud" "Bill" Strope; one brother, John P. Bucher; and two sisters, Bonnie Longwell and Kathryn Hostuttler.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sancho Cemetery.
