Richard Alan Smith, Sr., 78, Tuscumbia, passed away from complications of kidney disease at NAMC on February 6, 2023. There will be a visitation on Thursday, February 9, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Martha Smith; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda "Nut" Smith; and four children, Lisa "LD" Maddox (John), of Tuscaloosa, AL, Leon "Bubba" Smith (Connie), of Littleville, AL, Gwen "Jo" Spriggs (Randy) of Tuscumbia, AL, and Richard "Snuffy" Smith, Jr. (Regina), of Tuscumbia, AL. He was blessed with 15 grandkids; 41 great-grandkids; 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
