With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Iolanda on January 2, 2022 in her 86th year. Devoted wife of the late Saturnino. Cherished mother of Maurizio and his wife Anita. Proud nonna of Natalie (Christopher) and Gabriel, who brought her much joy. Dear sister to Teresa (late Domenico), late Francesca (late Umberto), late Pietro (late Maria), Giuseppe (Giovanna). Sister-in-law to late Francesco (late Dora) and Gianni (Guiliana). Iolanda will be missed by many family members and friends in Canada, Italy, USA, and Australia.

Iolanda was loving, hardworking, and strong. She was born in Folignano, Italy in 1936 and immigrated to Canada with her husband and son in 1963, settling in Stoney Creek, Ontario. She held many jobs: on the assembly lines of Inglis and Camco, as a seamstress at Cambridge Clothes, and later helping to raise her grandchildren. Iolanda had a great passion for sewing, knitting, and crocheting, often making and mending beautiful clothing for her family. She was very meticulous in everything she did, whether it be cooking our favourite meals or tirelessly cleaning her home from top to bottom to ensure it was kept immaculate - a task that she greatly enjoyed. Above all, Iolanda's family was her true pride and joy. We are grateful for the love we shared and will forever cherish our memories together.

We would like to thank the staff at Westmount Terrace Retirement Home for welcoming Iolanda into their community and providing exceptional care. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the staff of CTU Central and 5 Mary Grace at St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassionate care of our dear Iolanda.
