Elvin M. Beard, 67, of 922 Linwood, died Monday at the home. He was born in Neodesha, Kan., and lived here 18 years. Mr. Beard was a tool and die maker for Cramer Industries, Inc., 14 years before he retired in 1972. He leaves four sons, Earl Beard, Wichita; Robert Beard, Daniel, Wyo.; Jack Beard, Jefferson City, and Raymond Beard, Gladstone, and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Spencer Chapel of the University of Kansas Medical Center. Mr. Beard donated his body to the medical center. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
