Jim is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served 21 years and is a Desert Storm veteran. He often said that his greatest accomplishment while serving his country is that of an aviation pilot, logging more than 6,000 flight miles.
Jim was an avid bowler, and loved to spend Wednesday nights with this bowling family.
He was well known for his love of a good glass of scotch and a great cigar.
Jim would always tell anyone that asked, his greatest accomplishment were his grandchildren. While he held many roles in his lifetime, his favorite role was Pop-Pop. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren whether playing basketball, teaching them to roller skate, dishing out life's lessons or chasing them around the house just to hear them laugh and giggle. He was always amazed with each of them for their unique selves and loved to watch them grow and develop into their own person. His grandchildren lived by the motto "If Pop-Pop can't fix it, nobody can."
He is survived by two daughters, Diana Edwards and husband Steve, and Amanda Seabrone and husband John; life-partner, Jeness McDowell; two step-sons, Collin and Cory McDowell and wife Nicole; two sisters, Katherine "Kat" Midyette and Melinda "Mindy" Salamon; brother Charles "Chuckie" Kasbohm; "red-headed step-child", Kristal Edwards; and five grandchildren, Ethan Kasbohm, Chase Seabrone, Zachary Edwards, Madison Jordan and Ryker McDowell; along with many extended family and friends.
