Nicknamed "Mama Granny". She raised her grandson, Thomas Nelson Reynolds when he was orphaned at age 2.

Mrs. Monia B. Hudson of Fayetteville died Monday in Lincoln County Hospital following a long illness. She was 84 years old and the widow of James Berry Hudson who died in 1947. Services were Tuesday at Ralston Chapel in Fayetteville with Eugene Peden officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville. A native of Lincoln County, she was a member of the Church of Christ. She had lived in Huntsville for many years but returned to Lincoln County about four years ago.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Charles Ready of Fayetteville, Mrs. Homer Teague of Decherd. Mrs. Polly Eidt of Natchez, Miss., Mrs. Graves Gord (Gore) of Ware Shoals, S.C., Mrs. Jans Krempel of San Antonio, Mrs. Berniece Necel of Alexandria, Va, and Mrs. Ancel Stovall of Miami. Two sons, E.D. Hudson of Huntsville and Dr. T.P. Hudson of Rossville, Ga; three brothers, Hugh Buntley of Fayetteville, Ed Buntley of Nashville and Jesse Buntley of Louisville, 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
