JOYCE ABBOTT OBITUARY
Joyce Ann Abbott, 65, of Bancroft, WV passed away on February 7, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital Huntington, WV.
Joyce was born to the late Donald L. and Patricia Ann "Teet" Casto Abbott on January 24, 1958.
She was a 1976 graduate of Poca High School, where she was in the Marching Band and on the Majorette Corp, retired from Eye & Ear Clinic-Physicians Inc. Charleston, WV and Dr. Strickland as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. She was the first Woman Mayor in Putnam County in Bancroft for several years and also attended Bancroft Church of God Mission.
Joyce is survived by her loving sister and brother in-law: Brenda and Albert Fowler of Red House, WV; her loving and faithful companion: Laci; and her special little buddies: Kyan and Lukah Dailey.
Special thanks to Sheila Collins, Carla Dailey and family for always being there for Joyce.
Funeral Service for Joyce will be 2:00pm Tuesday February 14, 2023 at Haven of Rest Memory Gardens Red House, WV with Pastor James Legg officiating.
Friends may visit an hour prior to the service in the mausoleum.
