Eunice (Whittemore) Shippee, born June 17, 1821 in Thompson, Windham Co., Connecticut to Daniel and Sarah Ann (Corbin) Whittemore. In 1841 she married George O. Shippee in Thompson. Together they raised their nine children: Phebe M., Orrin L., Eunice M., George A., Albert H., A. Jennett, Frank G., Emma E., and Sarah E. Eunice and her family were in Richwoods, Peoria Co., Illinois by 1858 where their three youngest children were born: Frank, Emma, and Sarah, my great-grandmother who is also buried here in Prospect Cemetery.
