Blake Harold Houghton, 68, of Manitowoc passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at his residence. Blake was born on May 21, 1954 in Manitowoc to Walter and Florence (Gorman) Houghton. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He was a supervisor and union rep for Weyerhaeuser until his retirement in 2001. Blake was an original member of Painting Pathways Clubhouse in Manitowoc. Blake had a passion for the outdoors and was always up for an adventure. He loved to go camping, fishing, hunting, mushroom picking and spending the summers at Stevens Lake. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and was known by many in Manitowoc as the can collector on his daily walks. Blake enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and card games, especially poker with the guys. He had a knack for making people smile, loved playing jokes and looked forward to large family parties. Blake is survived by his children: Timothy Houghton; and his grandchildren: Harmony and Violet Houghton, and Amanda (Matt) Rammes; and step-grandchildren: Liam and Kate Rammes; sister: Debra Houghton; two nephews: Jay Maldonado and Kiko Maldonado; and great-nephews: Dohnivyn, Jordan and Liam Maldonado. He is further survived by numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends. Blake was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Florence Houghton. A funeral service to celebrate Blake's life will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th Street, Rev. Matt Colle officiating. Relatives and friends can greet the family on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:30 pm. Blake will be laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum.
